About Us South Chicago
The South Chicago Craters & Freighters folks are proud South Siders. We have been serving the area since 1998. Most of us are lifelong Chicago residents and we understand the vast diversity that Chicago represents.
Our center's capabilities are as varied as Chicago. We have loyal customers who ship million dollar paintings and we also crate two ton machines for air freight.
South Chicago is an industrial area and we do excel in making custom designed crates in large and small quantities. We also provide extensive engineering services to anyone who needs help in understanding what is necessary to protect their product.
We are accustomed to handling high end art, antiques, IT, medical, and industrial items. We take that same care with your grandma's rocker. After all, it is far more valuable than the million dollar painting.
The key to successfully shipping fragile items is in the packaging and in selecting quality carriers to transport your protected item. Our experienced packers use a variety of methods and materials to make sure that everything arrives at its destination in perfect condition.
